Information for Artists

We are open to new, emerging, and established artists residing in Northern Idaho and the surrounding area.  This gallery is owned by artists for artists.  All art is juried to ensure that it fits within our current needs.

We offer two options for local artists: art shows and artist memberships in the gallery.

We put on three in-house shows throughout the year.  Entry into our shows is free and requires a 40% commission on all sales for non-member artists.  You are limited to entering five items into the show, it is possible that they will not all be accepted.  The shows generally run for one month.

Retail space is available in the gallery through artist memberships.  Membership requires a monthly fee of $45 and 15% commission on all sales.

What we provide with memberships:

Approved member artists have their work photographed and placed on this website.  We take care of all sales, sales tax, and packing and shipping both online and in the gallery.  We include your work in our promotional activities and will take it to the various shows that we do, assuming you agree to allow us to do this.  Your work is featured alongside visiting artist's work during our shows and we take every opportunity to promote you and your work. Local promotions include print advertising, travel guides, community events, demonstrations, and shows.  Our website is well established with the search engines and is frequently listed on the top positions for a variety of keyword searches.  We also invest in online advertising, promote the gallery and the artists via social networks (Twitter, Facebook, etc.), and have a regular newsletter with hundreds of subscribers.

What we are looking for:

Functional, wearable, art and/or fine crafts.  If it is beautiful and usable, we want to see it.  For example: pottery/ceramics, fabric art, bead art, jewelry art, wood/metal art (clocks, tables, lamps, etc.).  Glass artists are especially welcome as we tend to be rather glass oriented.

Artists should be serious about their work.  A professional attitude is a must.

We do have space for one or two more photographers/painters.  We are happy to accept prints of your work on greeting cards, etc.

We are no longer accepting jewelry artists.  If you would like to be on our waiting list, contact us.  Consideration for membership is on a first come, first served basis and there's no obligation.

Art groups are also welcome.  We are willing to work with your group to set up special exhibits.

What we are not looking for:

Cutesy, country-style crafts, knick-knacks, etc.

Art that is not ready for display/sale (paintings should be framed, wired and ready to hang, lamps should have lampshades, and so on).

Feel free to contact us regarding opportunities to place your work with us.  Contact either Sadie Galloway or Josephine "Jo" Brooks here
